I’ve put something together in the past few months, and I’m finally ready to put it out into the world.
Back in March, when everything went into lockdown, I had to juggle working remotely while entertaining my 3-year-old and let me tell you, it was NOT an easy feat. 8 weeks later, we all survived, and we sent him back to daycare.
Finally, I had time to concentrate on my work and on myself.
The city was slowly coming back to life. The restaurants were getting ready to open. People were antsy to get back in the office. Friends were inviting us over.
Life was slowly resuming after a deep slumber.
But unbeknownst to me, those 8 weeks did some serious damage to my self-esteem, and to my ability to communicate.
I felt like I lost a big part of myself – the part that pushed away from social anxiety with ease.
Here I was, in May…
- Unable to make eye contact without cringing inside.
- Questioning every text message I sent because I wasn’t sure how it would be interpreted.
- Shutting down during Zoom calls and pretending I was listening.
- Traumatized at the idea of seeing anyone outside of the house.
I was scared. I felt unworthy of being in the presence of others.
I was back to square one trying to figure out how to leave Social Anxiety at home. But even though I’ve been back to square one many times, the conditions of the outside world were vastly different this time.
I had to figure out a new way to let go of Social Anxiety in a post-Covid world.
Thank goodness I did. And to celebrate this, I’m OFFICIALLY opening up registration to my first course, yay!
